Sacramento and its surrounding communities continue to gain recognition for actively fostering and supporting entrepreneurship. Over 500 technology and other high-growth companies have been started in the region, many of which have secured investment from angel, venture capital and private equity investors. The continued support of entrepreneurship is essential to job growth in the Sacramento region and you can help by joining us and our emcee, Mayor Kevin Johnson for The 4th Annual Liquidity Event as we highlight three local companies that have recently achieved their own liquidity events – Travidia, KlickNation, and Superior Vision Holdings. You’ll be inspired as you hear their stories, from start-up to sale, from each company’s founder and/or CEO: Rand Hutchison, Mark Otero and Rick Corbett, respectively.
Additionally, we will honor our 2012 Social Entrepreneur of the Year for making a difference in our community: Billy Downing, President, ESM Group. There will also be a brief presentation from our special speaker, Scott Fritz, entrepreneur and author of The 40 Hour Work Year.
With over 300 attendees anticipated for this 4th annual event, this will be a great opportunity to network with many of the Sacramento region’s leading entrepreneurs and affiliated companies!
What’s on tap?
Guests will enjoy themed beverage bars throughout the event including Martini Madness, Mojo Mojitos, Fiesta Margarita Bar, Maui Mai Tais, California Wine & Beer Garden, Tropical Pina Coladas and more (consider these our “liquid assets”!!) Come dressed in your favorite Hawaiian shirt - not only is the temperature rising in August, so is our outlook for entrepreneurial growth!
