A Community of Ideas:  Lead and Learn in Sacramento

Guest post by LCS Technologies

In any type of community, whether it be big or small, it is important to take on leadership roles. Recognizing your skills, and sharing them with others is valuable, not only to yourself and your business but with other people in society.  With businesses and organizations especially, sharing expertise with others is important and leads to community growth and development.

Our city of Sacramento is a perfect example of how community leadership is beneficial. Through regional groups that teach and inspire and local co-working spaces, Sacramento is a cornucopia of ideas and innovation.

LCS has been inspired by so many community leaders to take on our own leadership role. We are taking the steps to teach values and skills that are important to us, and learn from our experiences. We hope you will join us at one of our upcoming events:

Join us for the LinkedIn HangIn on October 16th, and learn how to make the most of your LinkedIn account.

We are also proud to be a part of the StartUp Grind Sacramento series. Our Co-Founder and CEO, Steve Simonetto will be speaking on Wednesday, October 22.

Here are  some of the local leaders to whom we are grateful for their contributions and who have most inspired us:

SARTA:  A non-profit organization that fuels the growth of regional tech companies and the tech sector, through community events and programs.

Sacramento Startup Digest: The free personalized weekly insider newsletter for all things startup in Sacramento, curated by Laura Good.

TEDx Sacramento:  A local non-profit committed to ideas worth spreading in Sacramento.

Sacramento Business Journal presents Connectionopolis:  Networking events in the area that teach marketing and other smart business practices and bring together local business leaders.

Social Media Club Sacramento:  A local forum that organizes community events for those who create and consume media.

Angel Hack: A series of hackathons dedicated to fostering local business and bringing together programmers, developers, designers, and innovators.

Sacramento Co-working:  A growing variety of local hubs for hackers, artists, startups, innovators, entrepreneurs and everything in between. Find the one that best suits you…

What is your passion and how are you sharing it with your community? We want to know! Write to us and let us know!
